Eliza Bordeaux (1992) uses photography to gain more insight on the social significance of cultural phenomena. By focussing on people’s daily business she finds out personal impact of wider social- economical choices. Latest works expose Dutch dealings with former colony Indonesia. Her ethnologic approach is research-based but intimate. Discoveries she translates into colorful experimental photoworks whereby symbolic indications invite you to read between the lines.
